NOW WE MOVE

A series of weekly movement classes and workshops for motivated adult movement lovers

We invite physical individuals of any background that are curious to unlock, discover, develop and challenge their physical abilities within a playful environment enhancing individuality, creativity and team building. 

‘Now We Move’ is an initiative towards movement education, human development and community building for adults through practical and experiential learning designed by physical performer, choreographer and movement director Panayiotis Tofi. The classes are created through a combination of exercises and creative tasks deriving from gymnastics, somatic practises, contemporary dance and movement for theatre, under one umbrella.

With two weekly classes offered at the moment in the center of the old town of Nicosia you now have the opportunity to move beyond your comfort zone and connect to your physical self within a friendly and welcoming community.

The class is based on Release and Floorwork technique along with elements of somatic practises. It consists of a physical warm up section where attention is brought to dynamic alignment, the use of breath and the potential of space followed by short, captivating phrases that gradually connect to longer choreographed combinations.  A class that promotes expression and creativity through the spectrum of contemporary dance.
